Eight O'clock in the Morning
Eight O’clock in the Morning represents a surrealist exploration of the city of York. The process involves early morning walks within York's city centre, capturing moments of tranquility before rush hour begins. The images represent unfamiliar scenes of quietness as the sun rises.
The project has been inspired by photographers Eugène Atget and Trent Parke, whose work represents an uncanny sense of unfamiliarity, documenting empty streets, rush hour, and urban sunlight.

Lincolnshire Seaside Trump Cards
Heritage Lincolnshire is a charity that supports the community. Founded in 1988, their aims are lifelong education, building conservation and archeological fieldwork, and research within Lincolnshire.

In January 2024 I volunteered with the charity to go out and photograph a section of the Lincolnshire Coast for their 'Lincolnshire Seaside Trump Cards'. Below are some of my photographs on the cards that are available for purchase of their website.

Bellringing at York Oratory
Bellringing at York Oratory represents an experience of the change ringing practice that’s been heard across the UK since the 17th Century. These photographs capture a community of bellringers taken at their weekly practice night. Below are Joe’s and Megan’s experiences of bellringing.
Joe, "I have been bellringing for 15 years, but I believe it took me about 3 months to learn how to handle a bell. I enjoy the challenge that comes with it".
Megan, "I have been bellringing for 10 years, although technically since being born; I’m born into a bellringing family. I enjoy the sense of community".
